YMCAs throughout Africa help young people develop the skills, contacts and networks to create and/or obtain employment. YMCAs run a wide range of vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship programmes to enable young people to improve their economic situation. Entrepreneurship is particularly favoured as youth are able to carve out a future in their areas of interest and reach a level of self-reliance and independence.
We are currently developing a programme on Economic Renaissance to provide youth with the opportunity to own means of wealth creation, and to manage and control national resources.
