The competition promoted expression of what being an African means, how it affects thinking, feeling and behaviour. It provided the outlet for a young person to identify the various roles they play and of those surrounding them. It also highlighted the deeper thinking of how their self-discovered attributes could impact on the type of future they imagine for the Africa they want.
