YMCA Careers Expo and Beyond, dubbed CareerManenoz was first held on 25th and 26th November 2016 at the Kenya YMCA Nairobi Central Branch opposite University of Nairobi. The event attracted at least 1200 young people from Nairobi and its environs who interacted with over 50 professionals and exhibitors to gain knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship, job preparedness and life skills.
Career Manenoz is a collaboration between Kenya YMCA and the Africa Alliance of YMCAs (AAYMCA). Planning for the 2017 event has begun and the YMCA is seeking to make it an inclusive process. Invitations extended to organisations that participated in 2016 and those who have shown interest to participate this year to co-create the event with the AAYMCA to improve the experience for the targeted youth.
CareerManenoz 2017 will take place on 1st to 4th November 2017 at the Kenya YMCA on Statehouse Road opposite University of Nairobi.
