As a Change Agent, I feel I have an obligation and not a title, to reach out to over thousands of young people with the Change Agent philosophy. The training held in Togo was very resourceful; I now know that change begins with me. I need to take ownership of my continent. I feel prouder to be an African. I feel there is something unique about this continent.
I commit to working with local youth councils in all counties in Liberia where the YMCA is, to communicate the vision through the Change Agent program and to inspire positive actions that will foster youth participation in the Africa that we all envision. I have come to realize that Africa is not the trees, the land or the infrastructures, Africa is us. Our greatest resources as stated by Carlos Sanvee, General Secretary of African Alliance of YMCAs is us, the Youth. If we must get the Africa we want, we must work to cultivate the Leadership that will produce that Africa. Currently, the confidence in me is strong, it has a focus, it is active for life, it is strategic. The confidence in me will make a difference.
